Bible Verses of the Week

Jesus Loves You!

45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (NIV, Mark 10:45)

12 “If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them wanders away, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others on the hills and go out to search for the one that is lost? 13 And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he will rejoice over it more than over the ninety-nine that didn’t wander away! 14 In the same way, it is not my heavenly Father’s will that even one of these little ones should perish. (NLT, Matthew 18:12–14)

28 “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (NRSV, Matthew 11:28–30)

Jesus' mission was to serve humanity. He gave up His life willingly to save us from the power of sin. Just as a shepherd cares for each of his sheep, Jesus loves and cares for each of us and seeks us to be among the faithful. In faith we find freedom from the anxieties of the world and a sense of peace and purpose. For more details: What Does the Bible Say About Faith?
