4) In the Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard, in Matthew 20:1-16, a landowner goes into the city one morning to hire workers for his vineyard. Later in the day he goes twice more to hire additional workers. At the end of the day he gives all the laborers the same pay. The workers who worked all day grumbled when they got only the same pay as those who worked just a few hours. Which is a lesson of this parable?
Self righteous people are only fooling themselves.
God does not "owe" us anything.
It is OK for an employer to pay whatever wages he feels are fair.
The rewards we receive from God will be according to the amount of service we have done for Him.
